Sailor is more than just a handsome face — he’s the official mascot of Sail Away Magazine and the tiniest member of our team, with the biggest personality. A Toy Miniature Schnauzer with a love for blanket naps, biscuits, and visits to cruise terminals, Sailor is our four-legged reminder that travel should always come with a sense of fun.
From sniffing out the best cruise reads to making surprise appearances on the Sail Away: Uncensored podcast, Sailor adds a little extra heart to everything we do. He might not write the articles, but he’s always nearby when we do — keeping the team in check and stealing the spotlight at every opportunity he gets.
Sailor’s love of the sea is in his blood. His parents crossed the Atlantic aboard Queen Mary 2, arriving in the UK with tails wagging and passports stamped. Raised by two cruise fanatics, Sailor was destined for a life filled with adventure, biscuits, and fresh sea air blowing through his beard.
Ever since Dan & Jay brought Sailor to his new home, Sailor has been surrounded by suitcases, cruise brochures, and the scent of freshly printed magazines. He loves to chew our glossy magazines, thank goodness we don’t store them at home.
