Can I get the printed version of Sail Away if I live abroad?
Yes! Simply become a member to Deck Officer or Captain's Circle tiers of Sail Away Magazine, and enter your address and delivery address at the checkout. This will automatically charge you for the correct shipping rate based on your country of residence. Check out our international shipping rates below!

How do I cancel my subscription?
There is no minimum term of membership to Sail Away Magazine. Simply login to your account, click 'Subscriptions' and the click 'Cancel' under 'Actions'. Alternatively, send us a message via the 'Contact Us' page to let us know you wish to cancel. Please insure that you include your name and Order Number. Please note, a minimum of 5 business days notice is required before the launch of the next issue.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my membership?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership at any time. Any changes will take effect with the release of the next issue of Sail Away Magazine, ensuring you continue to receive the correct publications and member benefits.
When am I billed?
Memberships are billed on the 1st of every month, when the next publication is finalised and prepared for print. If for whatever reason, you'd like a different billing date, just let us know. We're easy going around here!
Can I pause my membership?
Yes, of course. Life gets busy, so we've made memberships as flexible as possible.
You can pause your membership whenever you need to. Just send us a message via the 'Contact Us' page and we'll do the rest.
How often is the magazine and supplement published?
Sail Away Magazine is published every other month, with six issues released each year. OPINION is also published six times a year, arriving in the months between editions of Sail Away Magazine. That means you'll always receive something new every month.

What is the OPINION supplement, and how is it different?
OPINION is our exclusive members-only supplement. Rather than ship reviews and destination guides, OPINION focuses on the biggest debates in cruising through honest editorials, bold recommendations and reader polls. Every issue is designed to challenge opinions and spark conversation. It will ultimately shape our journalism by putting our readers first.

Can I access past magazine issues and supplements?
Yes. All membership tiers receive unlimited access to our growing digital archive of previous editions of Sail Away Magazine and OPINION. We even sell remaining printed copies of the magazine and supplement through our Cruise Shop.

When will I receive my subscription to Sail Away Magazine?
If you subscribe to the digital version of Sail Away Magazine, you will have have instant access to the current and all past issues by logging in to your account, and clicking the ‘Downloads’ tab.
Digital editions of both Sail Away Magazine and our exclusive OPINION supplement are released on the first Monday of the publication month and are available to download immediately from your account.
Our publication schedule is as follows:
- Monday 3rd August 2026 – OPINION Issue 1 available to download for all members. Printed copies for Deck Officer and Captain’s Circle members will begin arriving within two weeks of this date. International deliveries may take longer depending on your location and the courier.
- Monday 7th September 2026 – Sail Away Magazine Issue 20 available to download for all members. Printed copies for Deck Officer and Captain’s Circle members will begin arriving within two weeks of this date. International deliveries may take longer depending on your location and the courier.
Going forward, you’ll always have something new to enjoy every month, alternating between Sail Away Magazine and OPINION. If your printed publication hasn’t arrived within 21 days of its release date, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Will I be paid for my article?
Sail Away Magazine is a growing business with a strong commitment to charity work. We pay 10p per word for contributions made by those with a professional background in writing and journalism. Unfortunately, at present, we are unable to offer payment to writers without a professional background. For influencers and travel agents who wish to write for us, your payment comes in the form of significant coverage and brand awareness through our magazine. We appreciate all contributions and strive to provide a platform that benefits our community of writers.
How will I know if my article will be published?
Magazine
You will be notified by email if your article will be published in Sail Away Magazine. If you are a professional writer, you will receive payment within 28 days of this email.
Blog Post
You will be notified by email or phone call if your article is deemed more suitable as a Blog Post. For professional writers, you will receive payment within 28 days of this email.
Rejection
Rejections are rare, and would only happen if you don't follow the Contributor Guidelines. You will be notified by email, and will be given a second attempt to bring the article within the guidelines.

Do I need to sign a contract?
Yes, we require all of our contributors and writers to sign an agreement. This agreement protects Sail Away Magazine against copyright infringement and other legal matters. It is also an essential requirement as per our Publishers Insurance. By signing the agreement, you help ensure that our publication remains compliant with legal standards and that your work is properly safeguarded.

We prefer original content that has not been published elsewhere. If you wish to submit previously published work, please disclose this information in your submission email. We do not pay professional writers for non-original content.
