Carnival’s NEW Private Island: Celebration Key!

Carnival’s NEW Private Island: Celebration Key!

Its exciting times to be a fan of Carnival Cruise Line, as they have just announced the name of their NEW private port destination – its called Celebration Key.

Found on Grand Bahama Island, this exclusive Carnival cruise resort will be used exclusively by Carnival Cruise Line initially, however it is likely that ships belonging to other Carnival brands will be allowed to use the island after the first year has elapsed – in the same way that other Carnival owned companies use Holland America’s exclusive Half Moon Cay, from time to time. The name has been chosen to “evoke all the fun of a Carnival cruise”, as well as to celebrate everything about the Bahamas that is unique and exciting.

This unique resort on Grand Bahama island will be designed to be a celebration of everything Bahamian, and will include mouthwatering places to eat, stores run by local residents, art displays inspired by the culture, and much much more. At present, a brand new cruise pier is being built which will be capable of accommodating two Excel-class ships at any one time (ships like Carnival Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration). The new cruise pier will be within walking distance of all the fun and action at the newly named Celebration Key.

This exciting new cruise resort is planned to open in July 2025, with cruise itineraries featuring the island going on sale in September 2023. Carnival have announced that at least 10 of their ships will visit the cruise port in 2025, with cruises ranging between 3 and 10 nights duration. Once fully up and running, Celebration Key will host more than 2 million cruise passengers annually.
